RECALL ALERT! Blue Buffalo and Wellness dog foods linked to Hyperthyroidism


The FDA has issued an Urgent Warning regarding two popular dog food brands, Blue Buffalo and Wellness, that contain thyroid tissue of source meat causing Hyperthyroidism in dogs. Both companies have voluntarily issued recalls of the affected dog food lines. If you have any of these items in your home you can dispose of them, or return them to your retailer for a full refund. The food products under recall are:

Blue Wilderness Rocky Mountain Recipe TM Red Meat Dinner Wet Food for Adult Dogs. 12.5 Oz cans

UPC Code 840243101153 with a best by date of June 7, 2019 (found on bottom of can)

Wellness 95% Beef Topper for Dogs. 13.2 Oz cans

UPC Code 076344894506 with best by dates of Feb 2, 2019 and Aug 30, 2019 (found on bottom of can)
